I enjoyed an espresso martini and my friend a porn star martini made by the friendliest bar staff.

  The food here is beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed it. But 45 minutes wait from ordering and over an hour from arrival(didn't have starters, just went straight for... read more main course) is too long for me. We were there as a couple, and my partner commented that if you were on a first date, it would be torture!! I have more patience than my partner, but even I was struggling. We had one drink each...my partner sat with an empty glass, for ages, until they brought the food. The waitresses were polite and unobtrusive , but not the most attentive, and they could be making more money for the business if keeping on top of customers drinks situation. Felt like they were missing a front of house type .
We opted not to have dessert on this occasion , as we couldn't face another long wait.
Atmosphere was otherwise nice as restaurant was busy. And as previously mentioned, food was faultless.

We were a table of four and sat by the window. The staff were all extremely friendly and the service was like no other. I had the scotch egg which was amazing as always. My main was the lamb rump which was cooked perfectly. The taste was amazing and I still think about it now.
The dessert was creme brûlée which was velvety and smooth, the chef should definitely give himself a big pat on the back as the food is like no other.
I had an espresso martini which was the best I’ve ever had. I’m not sure what’s different about it but the martini beats any other restaurants by far.

The owners should be incredibly proud of the staff here as it’s like a home from home environment which I love. When I’m back up I’ll visit again. Highly recommend!
