Wow. What an amazing find and why isn’t this place number 1 to eat in Dumfries!?!

Took my Nana (89 year old doonhammer) and Girlfriend here (we travelled from London).

Place is Covid safe, all courses were fantastic and the waiting staff were lovely.

Will visit again the next time I am in Dumfries.

  Spotted this place in Dumfries and Galloway Life, so thought we would give it a go when we were visiting Dumfries.

The off street entrance and stairs are rather utilitarian, but once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is transformed.
The restaurant area is spacious, the tables are well spaced and well-sized even for our party of two.
The decor is minimalist, in a good way, with a wooden floor. There is also a well stocked bar. The waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable, including on dietary requirements. I plumped for the Flat Iron Steak (12oz, I think), cooked to my liking, medium rare. It was delicious.
We will definitely return the next time we are staying in the Dumfries area
